How a 515 MIAMI Quote and Confirmation Work: Flat Rates

What happens between your first message and a confirmed reservation.

The useful question about any car service quote is not what the number is. It is whether the number is going to change.

This is how a 515 MIAMI quote is put together, what is inside it, and what happens between your first message and a confirmed reservation.

One number, not a starting number

We quote all-inclusive flat rates. The figure you are given for a defined trip is the figure, and it is agreed before the car is booked rather than assembled afterwards.

That means the quote already contains the things that commonly appear as separate lines elsewhere:

  • The chauffeur's gratuity. Included. You are not expected to calculate anything at the end, and there is no awkward moment at the curb.
  • Tolls on the route.
  • Standard airport fees for the pickup.
  • A reasonable waiting allowance at airport collections, because an arrival is not a moment.
  • Meet and greet where that is what you have asked for.

There is no surge pricing. The quote does not move because it started raining, because a conference is in town, or because you asked at six in the evening rather than at ten in the morning. A flat rate that re-prices itself under demand is not a flat rate.

What would change a quote

Being straight about this is the only way the paragraph above means anything.

A quote is for a described trip. If the trip changes materially, the number can change, and we will tell you before it does rather than afterwards on an invoice:

  • Stops you add that were not in the original description.
  • A different destination from the one quoted.
  • More passengers or luggage than the vehicle was chosen for — which is a vehicle change, not a surcharge.
  • Waiting well beyond the allowance — a two-hour customs hold, or a meeting that runs long while the car sits.
  • Hourly bookings that run past the reserved block.

None of these are traps. They are the reason we ask what we ask before quoting.

Why we ask what we ask

Every question in the booking conversation exists to make the quote hold.

Passengers and bags decide the vehicle, and the vehicle decides the rate. A party of five with five large cases is not a sedan booking, and finding that out at the curb is the single most common way a transfer goes wrong.

Airline and flight number rather than a landing time, because the flight number is what can be watched. A landing time is a guess that ages badly.

Domestic or international, because a carry-on-only domestic arrival and a checked-bag international arrival landing at the same minute reach the curb a long way apart.

The shape of the rest of the day, because if you have three movements we can often tell you that an hourly booking costs you less than three transfers. We would rather say so than sell you three transfers.

Between your message and the confirmation

The sequence is the same on chat, SMS and WhatsApp, because it is the same system.

  • You describe the trip. A sentence is fine.
  • We confirm the vehicle and quote the flat rate. If something is ambiguous, we ask about that one thing.
  • You accept in the thread. No form, no portal, no account.
  • You get a confirmation with the date, time, pickup, vehicle and the agreed rate, in the same conversation.
  • Before the pickup, you get your chauffeur's details.

The confirmation lives in the thread rather than in an email you will have to search for later. Scroll up and it is there, with everything you agreed and every change you made since.

Changing a booking

You change it in the conversation. There is no cancel-and-rebook cycle to move a pickup by half an hour, and no separate system to log into.

For flight changes on an airport pickup, usually you do not need to do anything: the flight is being watched, and if a delay is significant enough to move your collection, that conversation starts in the thread you already have.

If plans change more substantially, tell us as early as you reasonably can and we will sort it out with you directly.

Corporate accounts

If you book regularly, several of the steps above compress. Your addresses, preferred vehicle and billing arrangement are already known, so a booking becomes one message and a confirmation.

Consolidated monthly billing, multiple named travellers under one account and cost-centre references on bookings are all available. Ask in any channel and we will set it up.

The vehicles

Choose by passenger count first, then check the luggage line.

  • Mercedes-Benz S-Class — 2 passengers, 2 bags. The first-class sedan.
  • Cadillac Escalade — 6 passengers, 7 bags. The premium SUV.
  • Chevrolet Suburban — 6 passengers, 7 bags. The full-size SUV.
  • Mercedes-Benz Sprinter — 13 passengers, 16 bags. Executive van — one vehicle instead of three.

All late-model, licensed and insured, with a professional chauffeur.

Booking

Send the date, pickup, passenger count and destination, plus the flight number if an airport is involved. The website chat, SMS and WhatsApp all reach the same reservation system on +1 (305) 676-8127, and all three quote and confirm on the spot. How the three channels fit together is covered in the 515 MIAMI reservation system guide.

515 MIAMI is an independent chauffeur service operating in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties since 2015. Rates are quoted per trip; this page describes how a quote is structured and is not itself a price list.
