The biggest draw on the calendar

This is the ticket. A Lakers visit to Miami sells out earlier, fills the building sooner and empties it into a more congested set of blocks than anything else on the home schedule, and it does so on a Tuesday, which means the arrival also has a weeknight commute underneath it.

Two consequences worth planning around. First, arrive earlier than you would for a normal fixture — the queues at the doors on a night like this are real. Second, the exit will be genuinely slow, and it is the moment when every ride app in the area is being opened by nineteen thousand people simultaneously. A car that is already yours, already parked and already told which gate is not a luxury on this date; it is the difference between leaving and waiting.

The gate, in one line

Chauffeured cars use Gate 3. Rideshare uses Gate 6, on the other side of the building. They are different curbs fed by different streets, and confusing them is the single most common way a pickup at this arena goes wrong.
